| Sold to the State of Arkansas. Benny
Ann now resides at The Old Washington
Historic National Park and is used for
side-saddle demonstrations in this authentic
1800's community. This park recreates
historically accurate living conditions and
culture. No electricity is used in the park.
Each year the park receives a high volume of
visitors, including children and park
officials report that Benny Ann takes it all
in stride. Benny Ann was chosen to join the
park based on her natural gait, excellent
disposition, good breeding and beauty. We
are honored that she was selected as many
other gaited breeds which were used in the
south during this time period were also
considered. Benny Ann was sold in foal to
Tennessees Golden Boy and her resulting
foal, Simon, is also used in park
demonstrations. Our family paid a visit to
Benny Ann in the summer of 2004 and we were
delighted to see her again. Park officials
assure us she has a home for life! |
