This colt put in a surprise appearance on November
2nd, the morning after
our son's surgery in Dallas. Needless to say we weren't
present for the big
delivery, but Bug did a fine job all on her own. Nature
can be a beautiful
thing, and we were blessed with both a healthy mother
and foal despite our
absence. |
|
| We have named him Backstreet Justice and we call him
Baxter. Baxter is
quite the guy. He is all about confidence and charm.
He is a very loose
moving baby and can really drop his hindquarters and get
those legs up
underneath himself. This colt is also showing a lot of
natural lift in
front, which I would expect with his champion lite shod
relatives. |
|
 |
| Baxter sets up very naturally and I love his short back,
angular legs, and
upright neck. Conformation-wise, he is very much like his
mother, but he has
his father's head, I believe. His broad forehead, large
expressive eyes and
small muzzle will really set him apart when he is
mature. It is unclear yet
whether he will be chestnut, liver chestnut, or
sorrel. We will find
out after his spring shed. |
|
 |
| Based on his pedigree alone I anticipated that this colt
would have show
potential. After watching him gait, I know he
does. I feel he will be
very competitive in halter classes and later on the
rail. If our family's
time and health allow, I plan to show him this year.
Priced at $2,500 US Funds. |
